Alyssa Peterson is a Licensed School Psychologist and the sole owner of Phoenix Education Solutions, LLC, a private practice company founded on the sacred ground of social justice and resilience. Inspired by the unique needs of underrepresented populations in public school systems, Alyssa envisioned starting a business that expands her mission to advocate for equity in student achievement.

From 2015-2018, Alyssa served the school communities of South Central Los Angeles with her whole heart. She observed the daily impact of the achievement gap and collaborated with stakeholders to improve school-wide support systems. To take her advocacy even further, Alyssa joined the 2018 Policy and Advocacy Team for a non-profit organization, Educators for Excellence. Her leadership in public policy reform is evidenced within a teacher-led policy paper designed with recommendations in the areas of instructional support, restorative justice, and social-emotional learning, as well as family engagement practices.

Now, Alyssa operates her company virtually to deliver remote services to clients. Her license for private practice in the state of Florida (#SS1423) allows flexibility for the promotion of school psychological services for individuals, families, and districts. She is trained to assess and support students ages 2-22 suspected of having a disability that may impact academic success. The office is available by appointment only.
